In winter, the surrounding mountains like Loser, Sandling, Dachstein-West Skiing Area provide for skiing, carving, snowboarding, as well as numerous phantastic cross country ski trails, such as the track in the Rettenbachalm or the beautiful panorama trail on the Postalm. Also a ski tour on the Katrin in Ischl is a great sporting experience. On the top of Katrin enjoy a sunbath and the delicious food in the cozy cottage. Relax in the „Eurotherme“, a spa with numerous massage and spa services, it is worth to visit it! |

In summer, the surrounding green mountain pastures and mountains invite for wonderful walks, for instance to Rettenbachalm, Hoisenradalm, Katrin, Dachstein, Sandling - easy and hard mountain tours. Lakes like the Wolfgangsee, emerald Grundlsee, romantic Hallstättersee, Nussensee or Schwarzensee with excellent water quality are perfect for swimming or water sports. Take a short and cooling swim in the romantic deep green and cold Rettenbach behind the house - for us the Rettenbach is a wonderful place to tank up power and vitality. Have a walk into the lovely town centre with a visit to Zauner on the Esplanade - a famous traditional bakery, or visit the „Kaiservilla“ – the imperial villa, where you can learn about the life of Emperor Franz Joseph and Empress Sissi. The Lehar Festival in August, which recalls famous names such as Lehar, Strauss and Kalman is the heart of the musical activities. In addition to this, Bad Ischl is also a stage for musical and theatre productions, and a home for tradition, folklore and customs, such as the „Bauernherbst“- the festival of the farmers, or the "Almfest" and "Almabtrieb" - the cattle drive.
